Kent History and Library Centre, Maidstone- Kent County Council

The Kent History and Library Centre, Maidstone is purpose built to protect and give people access to their archive material. The Centre holds an extensive collection of historic material relating to the ancient county of Kent and its people. The collections, which include manuscript material, dating back to 699 AD, illustrations, maps and other printed material, can be accessed in the Centre’s searchroom and via the online catalogue.

Terms of use

Kent History and Library Centre, Kent County Council  has graciously contributed images from their collections to Shakespeare Documented, and retains sole ownership of said images. Visitors may download, link to and cite the images within Shakespeare Documented in personal research only. Any further use, including, but not limited to, unauthorized downloading or distribution of the images is strictly prohibited. Visitors must contact Kent History and Library Centre, Kent County Council  to request additional use, at: sarah.stanley@kent.gov.uk.
